Park Cities

The Park Cities area is commonly used in regard to the area surrounding Highland Park and University Park in Dallas. The area is largely affluent and has some of the highest per capita incomes in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area as well as the state.

University Park is home to Southern Methodist University (SMU) and the George W. Bush Presidential Center. The area is known for its beautiful homes, green parks and abundance of churches. More than 25 percent of the town has college or advanced degrees, making it among the most highly-educated cities in the nation.

Only 2.26 square miles big, Highland Park is home to over 8,900 residents. The area is known for the superior housing, and offers the residence parks and trails along Turtle Creek and Hackberry Creek. It is home to the prestigious Dallas Country Club which was founded in 1896. The clubs property spans over 117.5 acres and boasts magnificent views of Downtown Dallas.
